SUMMARY:MAZUMA CREDIT UNION (PRIVATE EVENT)
DESCRIPTION:community performance\nYOUTH JAZZ FELLOWS ALUMNI ENSEMBLE. \n\nMiles Clemons – piano\nIsaac Pieters – bass\nMaurice Butler – drums\nLogan Smoot – trumpet/ flugelhorn\nBrady Johnstone – alto saxophone\n\n \nKCAYJ Clinician and Administrative Liaison: Greg Carroll \n \nABOUT COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES. \nThe Kansas City Area Youth Jazz program provides opportunities for Fellows to bring live jazz music performed by the next generation of Kansas City artists to a variety of community event settings. \nKansas City Area Youth Jazz\, Inc. welcomes performance inquiries from organizations\, festivals\, and venues where the music is a prominently featured aspect of the event\, like concerts and incidental music at larger events. \nCommunity Performances allow Youth Jazz Fellows leadership opportunities in the area of the successful administration and production of ensemble performances. These types of program opportunities also provide first-hand experience using professional best-business practices as performing artists. These factors involved with live performances contribute to building individual and collective awareness of the ecosystem of the local\, regional\, national\, and global arts economy while also considering this infrastructure in the larger context as responsible citizens who understand that among the primary goals of professional performing artists is to inherently seek living wage opportunities. \nCOMMUNITY FOCUS. \nSince KCAYJ Fellows come from the many great high school and college level programs in the Kansas City region\, KCAYJ Fellows Ensembles will not perform at events intended to feature local high school and college music programs\, such as educational and adjudicated jazz festivals or conferences like Jazz Education Network (JEN) or MidWest Clinic. \nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY. \nPlease note that KCAYJ Fellows Ensembles are part of a benign and neutral nonprofit charity organization that will entertain community performance opportunities from organizations and businesses that comply with the tenets of S.1085 – Equal Opportunity Act of 1995. \nDISCLAIMER OF ENDORSEMENT. \nKansas City Area Youth Jazz Inc. does not endorse or sponsor any commercial product\, service\, or activity. Kansas City Area Youth Jazz participation in this Agreement or provision of goods\, services\, facilities\, or equipment under this Agreement does not constitute an endorsement by Kansas City Area Youth Jazz. Partner agrees that nothing in this Agreement will be construed to imply that Kansas City Area Youth Jazz authorizes\, supports\, endorses\, or sponsors any product or service of Partner resulting from activities conducted under this Agreement\, regardless of the fact that such product or service may employ Kansas City Area Youth Jazz-developed initiatives.
